The AI recommendations chip in the bottom-right corner of Ads Manager shows how many active recommendations the system has produced for this business. The number badge updates daily. Selecting the chip opens the recommendations drawer with one card per recommendation.

Card anatomy

Each card has:
  • A type chip in the header.
  • A severity chip on the left (CRITICAL, HIGH, plus optional secondary tags like IMPORTANT).
  • The target row (campaign, adset, or ad) with an icon and how long ago the recommendation was generated.
  • A Recommended action block stating the change in plain English.
  • An Evidence panel listing the metrics that triggered the recommendation (for example, CPM $43.00, Spend $205.24, CTR 3.33%, prior_cpa: 38.92, active_days: 7, 0 conv).
  • A Predicted outcomes panel showing projected metric movement with confidence (for example, CPA 48.00(48.00 (38.00 – $58.00) in 7d · 65% conf) and a one-paragraph explanation of why.
  • A long-form Why paragraph that cites the rules and decision tree used.
  • Top-right paginator (1 of 7) to step through every recommendation, plus an expired indicator if the underlying data has moved on.

Recommendation types

The system generates three types daily:
TypeHeader chipWhat it doesApproval
Update BudgetBlue Update Budget chipProposes a new daily budget on a campaign or adset (for example, Set daily budget on “AE – Main Offer v4 – CBO – Dupe 3” to 432.00from432.00 from 320.00).Approve & apply writes the change directly to Facebook. Reject dismisses it.
PauseOrange Pause chipProposes pausing a specific campaign, adset, or ad based on rule triggers (for example, Pause “AE – Master Business Acq List + 1% LAA”).Approve & apply pauses the entity on Facebook. Reject dismisses it.
Advice / AdvisoryLight-blue Advisory chip (often with extra severity like IMPORTANT)Surfaces a structural issue that budget or pause changes alone won’t fix (for example, audience saturation requiring a fresh LAA seed).Mark reviewed or Dismiss only — there is no Approve & apply for advice.
Approve & apply on Update Budget and Pause recommendations is irreversible from inside the drawer — the change is written to Facebook immediately. Use Reject if you’re not sure.

Per-card controls

  • Don’t show again (eye-off icon, bottom-left) — Suppresses this exact recommendation pattern for the row.
  • Reject — Dismisses the recommendation without applying it.
  • Approve & apply — Writes the change to Facebook (Update Budget / Pause only).
  • Mark reviewed / Dismiss — Replace the Approve & apply pair on Advice cards.

Daily review workflow

  1. Select the AI recommendations chip after your morning Ads Manager scan.
  2. Page through each card with the 1 of 7 paginator.
  3. For Update Budget and Pause types, Approve & apply the ones you agree with; Reject the rest.
  4. For Advice cards, capture the action in your media-buying SOP and Mark reviewed.
  5. Tomorrow’s batch builds on the changes you applied today.
