The Automation screen sets up scheduled weekly generation for each business. Once enabled, the system creates the report and (optionally) delivers it without any manual action. Open it from the Automation button in the Monday Reports header.

Per-business automation

Automation is configured per business so different clients can have different send times, recipients, and templates. Settings on this screen apply only to the business in the Business Space selector. Typical configuration:
For new clients, leave Auto-send off for the first 2–3 weeks. Review the drafts to make sure the template renders the way the client expects, then turn auto-send on.

Required permissions

The automation panel is restricted to roles that include the Monday Report Automation permission. See Roles and permissions to grant or revoke it.

What the automation does

  1. On the scheduled day and time, the system generates a report using the configured template and the previous week’s Facebook + GHL data.
  2. The result appears in the Reports list with Status: Completed and Review: Draft (or Sent if Auto-send is on).
  3. If Auto-send is off, the report waits for a human to Preview and Send manually.
  4. Failures (sync issues, token exhaustion, template parse errors) leave the row in Status: Failed and trigger a notification.
Most agencies run the following cadence (all times in the business’s configured timezone): The two-hour review window between generation and send is the single biggest predictor of client satisfaction — never schedule send within minutes of generation.

Disabling automation temporarily

You can pause automation without losing the configuration:
  • Toggle Enabled off to skip scheduled runs. Recipients, template, and times are preserved.
  • Switch Auto-send off but keep Enabled on to keep generating drafts for internal review without delivering anything.
Disabling automation does not affect reports already generated. Reports stay in the list and remain sendable from the Reports screen.
